Corinth Granite Counter Tops

Granite countertops in Corinth are made from one of the most durable materials ever used for home construction, and although they can last for generations, they still have to be taken care of so that they will continue effectively providing their unique style.  Since they are almost always situated in the kitchen, granite countertops are subject to the same indignities that regularly befall other kitchen surfaces.  Moving food, condiments, and other items around the kitchen often leads to spills and stains just about anywhere.  Your granite countertop will inevitably require cleaning, but since the material is not the same as what is found elsewhere around the house, cleaning it will call for methods that are different from what you are probably used to.

To get rid of common stains, mix some dishwashing liquid with a little flour.  Apply the mixture to the stain, let it settle overnight, and then wash the mixture off with warm water in the morning.  For stains caused by “organic” substances such as coffee, tea and mustard, use a mixture of 10 percent hydrogen peroxide and ammonia.  For “inorganic” stains caused by wine and ink, mix molding plaster with bleach.  Spread the mixture over the inorganic stain and let it settle for 45 minutes before washing it off with water.

Cleaning agents specifically for use on granite countertops are available in supermarkets and hardware shops.  Avoid using chemical cleaners that contain acidic substances such as lemon juice and vinegar because these could scratch your granite countertop and deprive it of its natural polish.  Also avoid glass-cleaners since these could leave your countertop looking cloudy and unattractive.

"Just had our new laminate floors installed by Draper Floors today and we love them! We had a water heater leak in an interior closet, and before we caught the leak, water had seeped under the floors and ruined our laminate. We found Tim Draper through a referral at work, and I couldn't be happier with our decision! A couple things that make Tim stand out as a trustworthy professional: -Completes a very thorough measurement; he won't overbuy your material and charge you XX% more like a lot of other flooring guys. -He uses high quality materials, and won't cut corners -He is very clear and upfront with pricing, and offers ways to save money (ex: pull up the old floors yourself, reuse trim where it makes sense, etc.) Our floors look great, and the entire process was a breeze! We look forward to working with Tim again."

"I recently used the services of Draper Floors to re-carpet one of my client's homes, and I was very pleased with the work they performed. They provided an up-front, accurate estimate for their services; the installation of the carpet was on schedule and professionally done; and their follow-up to assure my satisfaction after the job was finished was thorough and complete. I highly recommend the services of Draper Floors and will most certainly seek to use them again when the need arises."

"After a great experience installing a laminate floor for our office last summer, we used Draper Floors again this week to replace linoleum and tile throughout most of our ground floor. Tim Draper's selection of tile was beautiful and affordable, and we quickly found exactly the product we wanted and in a little over a week, we're loving our house's transformation. Once again we were impressed with the quality of the work and the workmen themselves were great guys, too. We know who we'll get to install carpet and any other remodeling needs in the future!"

"I can't say enough good things about Tim Draper and Draper Floors. Over the course of several years we've dealt with Tim for flooring needs and he's always been great. When he opened his own flooring company my wife decided to replace all our remaining carpeting with wood and he of course was our choice. His flooring crew was quick and professional, replacing the carpet in three bedrooms (he had already done the fourth), and replacing old wood in the living room and den. Along the way he acted as general contractor to repaint the interior of our home and eliminate all the remaining popcorn ceilings. When our master bath contractor decided to vanish, Tim and a crew got the disaster under control, replacing bad stone and granite, repairing our shower, and repainting. That looked so good we replaced the countertops in the kitchen with granite too. When issues arose, he always followed up and took care of them. He and his crews would probably still be working on projects for us but we ran out of things for him to do. The house interior was essentially rebuilt throughout. I would recommend him for any home renovation job; his knowledge of wood, stone, and tile is truly impressive."
